Meet Ashton Simpson, Our Progressive Challenger in District 47

We’re so excited to introduce you to Ashton Simpson, our progressive champion for House District 47.

Ashton is running solely on the Working Families ballot line in November, meaning if elected he could be the first 3rd party legislator elected to the Oregon House in over 100 years.

As you know, our party is not interested in running spoiler candidates (read more about our philosophy here). But we knew it was worth supporting a candidate running against the incumbent Democrat in this district. And Ashton is the right person for the job.

On Saturday, we'll hold a virtual campaign kick-off and hear from a group of community leaders about why Ashton is the best choice for District 47.

Ashton comes from a proud union family, and is running to preserve and expand workers' protections. His other priorities include reforming Oregon's racist criminal justice system and establishing a school-to-career pipeline that will prepare students for success.
